We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join our team. This is an in-office position and not remote. The Accounting Manager will oversee the financial operations of the Thornton, CO division, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all accounting processes. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
The Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing the daily accounting operations, inventory accounting, internal controls, and helping with month-end close. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in a similar role, strong analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Essential job functions
As the Accounting Manager, you will perform a variety of finance and accounting functions. This position requires experienced level professional work and frequent interaction with all departments in the business.
Primary job responsibilities will include:
•Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll
•Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies
•Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making
•Ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor payments, customer invoices, and employee payroll
•Manage and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback
•Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to streamline workflows and increase efficiency
•Assist with month-end close activities
•Become one of the DOI power users and ensure processes are followed that maintain needed internal controls
•Research and problem-solve inventory issues to maintain accurate financial records

Qualifications
•Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
•Previous experience in an accounting manager, controller, and/or auditor role
